Join Wave Farm Artists-in-Residence Zach Poff and N.B.Aldrich for a sensor-building workshop where participants make inexpensive hydrophones, contact mics, and similar small “sensors,” to plug into attendee’s own portable recorders or smartphones. Contact microphones record sound from contact, and hydrophones pick up sound under water. Contact mics and hydrophones will also be made at this workshop to be permanently installed on the Wave Farm Study Center building, and in the stream in front of the building, to be “played” live on WGXC anytime in the future. This workshop is limited to 10 participants, and pre-registration is required. A workshop fee of $20 covers electronic supplies, and lunch.
Email Galen Joseph-Hunter (gjh@free103point9.org) to secure your spot.
